Please join us at Demo Day to meet Cohort IV and celebrate their graduation from the BlueSwell program.

  • atdepth MRV – Advanced ocean simulation methods to support marine carbon dioxide removal projects and model human interventions in the ocean.
  • Bluemvmt – A platform powered by machine learning for underwater environmental monitoring.
  • DetoXyFi – Low-cost, biodegradable, rapidly deployable water filters made from waste wood to provide clean drinking water for disaster relief.
  • Marinas Bio – Seafood delicacies cultivated with cellular agriculture methods, improving quality, consistency, and production time.
  • Vycarb – Fully measured removal and storage of carbon in water, restoring carbon balance and fighting ocean acidification.

Chairman & Co-Founder of Ocean Visions

Emanuele Di Lorenzo

Emanuele Di Lorenzo is a Professor at Brown University & the Founding Chairman of Ocean Visions. A recognized world expert on large-scale Pacific Ocean dynamics & climate, he has held leadership roles at CLIVAR, US CLIVAR, PICES, & ICES, where he led transdisciplinary efforts to understand how climate affects marine & social-ecological systems. In 2019, he founded Ocean Visions, a non-profit that facilitates multisector collaboration to catalyze, test, and advance ocean-climate innovation.

In 2020, Annie and David observed how COVID-19 disturbed supply chains and revealed deficiencies in manufacturing. Inspired, they founded H2Ok Innovations and built an AI IoT system to help manufacturers reduce water usage and waste while increasing uptime and production. With customers ranging from Unilever to Mitsubishi, H2Ok is securing its position as a leader and a trusted partner as the manufacturing industry explores new approaches to efficiency, sustainability, and precision automation.
