Visionaries Luncheon & Quasar Award

Registration is free, but you are welcome to contribute what you can here - just put "Visionaries" in the subject line! All proceeds from the event will benefit the Fannie C. Harris Youth Center.

Quasars are some of the brightest objects known in the universe, and their effects can be seen from billions of light-years away.

Founded by the Eugene McDermott Scholars Program Alumni Association, the Biennial Quasar Award honors a community member who has made a lasting impact for innovation and education in their respective field. Previous awardees include Mary Brinegar of the Dallas Arboretum and Dr. Leo Estevez of Texas Instruments.

This year, we honor Dallas visionary Jorge Baldor, who founded the revolutionary first-of-its-kind collaborative effort After8toEducate, which brings together local organizations to holistically address youth homelessness and the needs of unsheltered youth in our community.
