Charity fundraiser for Ukraine

On July, 8 2023, my partner Dmytro, was killed by the Russian army on the front line near Zaporizhzhia. In his memory, I set up the Mitray Foundation, to help his regiment to secure the equipment they need to fight and stay safe, and to support the women and children who, like me, are left with the grief and trauma of losing their loved ones. On V-E Day, May, 8, 2024, we are holding a charity fundraiser in London to raise funds for foundation's work in Ukraine.

Please join us for a three-course dinner to sample the very best of Ukrainian contemporary cuisine and wine. Ukrainian wine is little-known but critically acclaimed. One of Ukraine’s leading sommeliers will be on hand to introduce you to some of the most interesting wines being produced in Ukraine today, whilst missiles rain down on their vineyards.Â
There will be a charitable auction with some unmissable items, including a signature embroided shirt from a private collection of Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine, and a talk by a Ukrainian who has played a leading role in the war effort.
The 8th of May marks the official end of World War II in Europe. With great bravery, sacrifice, and commitment, the world overcame evil and imperialism. With your ongoing support, Ukraine will do so again.
Together, we will win, and secure democracy and freedom in Ukraine and Europe.

To confirm your attendance, we kindly ask you to make a charitable donation of 7500 UAH (eq. £150 GBP) per person. All the proceeds will go towards our target of £25,000 for Dmytro’s regiment to cover the cost of protective equipment, 1 EW (radio-electronic warfare) and 10 protective gear, and to provide counselling services for 60 women and men who lost their loved ones at war.
