A celebratory toast with AlterTheater

Please join us in celebrating a new generation of Alternative Theater Ensemble! Begin the evening with a staged reading of Blossom Johnson's "Diné Nishłį (i am a sacred being) or A Boarding School Play" at Berkeley's Arts Research Center, immediately followed by light refreshments at the BrasArte Casa de Cultura. Enjoy toasts from members of the ensemble and the board and a showcase by our artists as we set our sights on the future of AlterTheater.
Who we are
Alternative Theater Ensemble is committed to developing new works and local culture bearers by supporting the creative growth of theater artists from historically underrepresented communities, centering theater’s power as a tool for healing and connection, and sharing stories that reflect our complex and diverse communities, in places where people are.

Guests are invited to both portions of the evening, but are welcome to attend either portion at their convenience.
Parking is available at both locations, and carpooling will be facilitated from the reading to the toast.
